我四歲的時候,父親就過世了。我對他的瞭解都是來自家庭影集。我的妻子和兒子是日本人,都在日本生活。由於我最近在新加坡有很多工作要處理,我在此處的童年記憶也被一點點地喚醒。我母親的一位朋友曾這樣對我說:一個人不能腳踏兩條船。如果你的兩隻腳分別在兩條船上,兩條船分開走的時候會發生什麼事呢?你會跌進入兩條船之間的水
My father passed away when i was 4 years old. I only knew him from the family album. My wife and son are Japanese and live in Japan, while recently I have been very bust with work in Singapore. I am reminded of some of the memories I have of childhood. One of my mother's friends gave this saying: one person cannot ride on two boats. If you have one foot on boat and the other foot on another boat, what happens when the two boats go separate ways, you will fall in the water between the two boats."

李文自1989年開始探索即興藝術(時基藝術)與行為藝術的不同技巧。社會調查和內在心理傾向強烈地啟發了其創作,他常利用藝術來拷問文化及社會上的陳腐觀念。他是新加坡藝術村(專注另類藝術的組織)的重要成員,也曾參與國際行為藝術組織“黑市國際(Black Market International的集體演出. 他還協辦過國際行為藝術盛事Future of Imagination(2003) 以及R.I.T.E.S.- Rooted In The Ephemeral Speak2009年)。後者是新加坡一個支持和發展行為藝術實踐、論述、場地設施和觀眾參與的平臺。他從沒去過海地。
Lee Wen has been exploring different strategies of time-based and performance art since 1989. His work has been strongly motivated by social investigations as well as inner psychological directions using art to interrogate stereotypical perceptions of culture and society. He is a contributing factor in The Artists Village alternative in Singapore and had been participating in Black Market international performance collective. He is co-organizer of Future of Imagination (2003), an international performance art event and R.I.T.E.S.- Rooted In The Ephemeral Speak” (2009), a platform to support and develop performance art practices, discourse, infrastructure and audiences in Singapore. He has never been to Haiti.

An Exchange Visit to the Past and Present

今昔大對調是對新加坡城市化飛速發展的回應。這些年來,新加坡很多標誌性建築要麼被拆毀,要麼被美化重建,其中隱含的歷史也就此丟失殆盡;而換來的卻是千篇一律的醜陋建築,這些新建築的用途也多是酒店、商場和公寓樓等,而賭場和度假村則徵用了大量的土地。鑒於新加坡是個非常小的國家,這種情況簡直是個兩難境地。這次表演將會通過置換替代的概念來深入剖析消失的建築與我個人間的關係。
“An Exchange Visit to the Past and Present act” as a respond to the rapid urbanization in Singapore. Throughout the years, there have been lots of iconic buildings either demolished or gentrified which often result in the lost of history. In exchanged, there is a rise of generic ugly buildings which are often functioned as hotels, shopping malls, or condominium. Land has been reclaimed for casino and resort. This is a paradoxical situation consider the fact that Singapore is a very tiny country. This performance will look into the relationship between the lost buildings and myself, through the concept of exchanging and replacement.

李嘉昇於2006年畢業於南洋藝術學院視覺傳訊專業,主修攝影設計。2010年,他獲得了英國哈德斯菲爾德大學榮譽美術學士學位。他目前的作品涉獵範圍廣闊,多圍繞都市環境和能夠激發他靈感的當代社會主題。他的藝術興趣主要涉及城市化、被拋棄的傳統和亞文化生活方式等議題。對他而言,藝術是一個用來發掘正被大眾誤解或忽略的一些問題的平臺。他曾參加過不少群展和合作計畫。他還在2010年度數碼相機攝影師大賽(英國)中獲得代表作類別特別獎李嘉昇主要在新加坡工作和生活,現時是新加坡藝術村的成員之一。
Jason Lee graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 2006 with Diploma in Visual Communication, specializing in photography design. In 2010, he obtained a BA (Hons) in Fine Arts from the University of Huddersfield, UK. His current works deals with wide issues that revolve around the urban environment and contemporary society that inspires him. His artistic interest lies in the areas of urbanization, abandoned traditions, and sub-cultural lifestyle. Art to him is a platform to explore issues that are being misunderstood or overlooked. He has participated in group exhibitions and collaborations. He received special commendation in the Digital Camera Photographer of the Year 2010 (UK) under the portfolio category. He is based in Singapore and is a present member of The Artists Village.









里福Reef   吉他聖手#3,性與暴力
Guitar God #3, Sex & Violence
福通過一系列的表演對人們給予流行搖滾樂人的上帝般的禮遇提出質疑。在這一系列作品中,他會展示搖滾音樂備受爭議的一面。當席德·維瑟斯Sid Vicious因謀殺南茜·斯龐根Nancy Spungen而被捕時,他說我是用刀捅了她,可我並不想殺她。我愛她,但她卻把我看得狗屁不如吉姆·莫里森(Jim Morrison)唱到“父親? 什麼事,兒子……我想殺你。媽媽?......我想操你 !! (“Father? Yes son…I want to kill you. Mother? ……I want to fuck you !!”)。談到性,吉姆·佩奇(Jimmy Page更是個傳奇,他喜歡與骨肉皮(Groupie,指追隨樂隊鬼混的年輕女子)發生性關係,他還喜歡對他惟命是從的女人。有謠言說他曾經和不滿15歲的骨肉皮發生過性關係。在這次表演中,會綜合運用聲音、詩歌,音樂和裝置等媒介來傳達他的訊息。
From a series of performances where Reef questions the "God Like" treatment given to pop/rock musicians. In this series he will present the side of rock & roll which have created a lot of controversy. When Sid Vicious was arrested for the murder of Nancy Spungen, he said  "I stabbed her, but I didn't mean to kill her. I loved her, but she treated me like shit". Jim Morrison sang “Father? Yes son…I want to kill you. Mother? ……I want to fuck you !!”. Jimmy Page is considered a legend when it comes to sex with his groupies and he likes his women to be submissive. He’s rumored to have sex with groupies under 15 years of age. For this performance Reef will incorporate sound, poetry, music & installation.   

Arif Ayab (又稱Reef,里福)是新加坡樂隊Under the Velvet Sky, UTVS的一員。他曾與一些藝術家在其它音樂計畫中有過合作,如李文、Zai KuningBani Haykal等。 2011年年中,開始把音樂、聲音、詩歌和行為藝術糅合到他的個人表演中。最近,他還與Wunderspaze一起參與R.I.T.E.S的表演。R.I.T.E.S是一個由藝術家和藝術工作者組成的非正式藝術團體,他們擁有共同的藝術研究及表演興趣。
Arif Ayab (A.K.A Reef) is a musician member of a Singapore based band Under the Velvet Sky, UTVS. He had collaborated in other music projects with artists like Lee Wen, Zai Kuning, Bani Haykal, to name a few. In mid 2011, Reef began presenting his solo performances combining music, sound, poetry & performance art in his act. Recently, he had also performed in R.I.T.E.S with Wunderspaze, a loose collective of artists and artworkers interested in the research and presentation of art.

 2011年起,瑪拉·班迪尼開始創作《代用品》(Surrogate)。《代用品》是一系列探索體驗式藝術創作的表演作品,體驗式藝術創作融匯了遊移表演者與觀眾、空間與時間之間的互動關係。床單是瑪拉表演作品中被普遍運用的主題——包括《廣告牌》、《諾亞方舟》,R.I.T.E.S. #05-2011及《鸚鵡螺號》 Nautilus)。

As of 2011, Marla Bendini is developing Surrogate, a series of performance pieces that explores experiential art creation that embraces the oscillating roles between performer(s) & consumer, space and time. A bedsheet has been a common motif in the performances- as the “Billboard”, “Noah’s Ark”, and in R.I.T.E.S. #05-2011, the “Nautilus”.

瑪拉·班迪尼在新加坡生活和工作。原名王文國的小班迪尼生於1986年,瑪拉·班迪尼這個名字在2007年誕生,對她而言身份也是個“藝術形式”經歷過一個不斷建立的過程。她2008年於泰國芭提雅舉行首個同名展覽《瑪拉》。在亞洲最大的LGBT門戶網站Fridae.com的贊助和新加坡電力站畫廊(The Substation Gallery)的支援下,她表演了多媒體裝置行為藝術作品《父子間的對話》(2010)。藝術家借助其跨媒體及高度個人化的作品,尤其是用自己的身體發聲,來表達兩性對立分化及社會和文化結構的失常。瑪拉憑這些作品已樹立起個人風格及贏得名聲。

Marla Bendini lives and works in Singapore. Born Ong Boon Kok, Bendini Junior in 1986, Marla Bendini was created in 2007, an ongoing process of the identity as the art form. Her first self-titled exhibition Marla. brought her to Pattaya, Thailand in 2008. Sponsored by Fridae.com, Asias largest LGBT portal, she presented Conversations between father and son (2010), a multimedia installation performance supported by The Substation Gallery, Singapore. The artists multi-displinary & highly personal works has become her signature, expressing ideas about gender binaries and the dysfunction of social and cultural structures, particularly with her personal physical body as an articulation tool.

The roller-coaster
我會用自己的聲音和各種物件運動的聲音來製作一件音頻作品。作品會運用動作和聲音來創造出一種情感的表達方式,借此我將探索和探討人們種種不同的情感表達方式。聲音是種自然且令人好奇的東西:物體跌落的聲音,滴水聲,迴音,重疊聲,運這些聲音元素,加添上我的好奇心,構成了我表演時帶有“電子情感”的這種身體狀態

I will be making a sound piece with my voice and actions from various objects. This piece is my exploration and investigation on the different aspects of how we express emotions, using movements and sound to create an expression of emotions. The natural inquisitive behavior of sound; "dropping; dripping of water; echoing of voices, layering of sound to create this state of body embedded in my curiosity with "e- motions"

謝燕芳,以新加坡為基地,是名跨界藝術家。自1997年起,她開始創作繪畫、行為藝術、裝置及泥塑作品。2000年,她獲得了新加坡國家藝術理事會的教育助學金,並取得墨爾本皇家理工大學繪畫專業藝術學士學位。2005年,她還獲得了歌德學院的文化/語言獎學金,前往柏林學習3個月。她曾在東南亞各地展出作品,並在歐洲完成了一系列的藝術家駐場計畫。自2002年起,她一直以她本人的自傳式經歷為背景,創作源於原始情感和想像的聲音作品。對謝燕芳而言,藝術創作是個讓她瞭解社會環境,並對人類社會的日常生活作出回應的工具。她曾參與過很多新加坡及海外國際行為藝術節、戲劇節,足跡遍及波蘭、德國、義大利、羅馬尼亞、韓國、印尼、日本和中國等。
Angie Seah is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Singapore. Since 1997, she has been making drawings, performance art, installations and clay sculptures. In 2000, she was awarded an education bursary from National Arts Council, and graduated from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technologys Bachelor of Arts where she majored in painting; she also got a culture/language scholarship to Berlin for 3 months from the Goethe Institute in 2005. She has exhibited her works extensively in South East Asia and did a series of artist residencies in Europe. Since 2002, she continues to create sound rooted in raw emotion and the imagination in the context of her autobiographical situations. Art making is a tool for Angie to understand the social environment and respond to deal with the everyday life of human conditions. She had participated in many International Performance Art/Theatre festivals locally in Singapore and Internationally in Poland, Germany, Italy, Romania, Korea, Indonesia, Japan, China etc.






羅子涵Loo Zihan

羅子涵是一名來自新加坡的動態影像、表演和裝置藝術家。他在芝加哥藝術學院(SAIC)獲得藝術碩士學位和James Nelson Raymond 獎學金。他的動態影像作品曾在多個電影節上展映,其中包括AFI電影節(洛杉磯)、釜山國際電影節、Newfest電影節(紐約市)和Frameline電影節(三藩市)。他的作品對藝術家和參與者之間的關係,以及“合乎體統”的角色與不被認同無處不在的羞恥感提出質疑。他通過作品中的自我暴露,把自己的作品作為禮物送給觀眾。
Zihan Loo is a moving-image, performance, and installation artist from Singapore. He received his MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), where he was also awarded the James Nelson Raymond Fellowship. His moving-image works have been screened in film festivals including AFI Fest (L.A.), Pusan International Film Festival, Newfest (New York City) and Frameline (San Francisco). His work questions the relationship between the artist and participant, the role of the proper and the still under-recognized pervasiveness of shame. In submitting to his own self-exposure, he proposes his work as a gift to the viewer.
