我代表東西方對身心定義的分裂。每一組動作反映我實質的軀殼，每一個姿態與時空相稱地行走，直到身體回復到寂靜的狀態。當身體只是作為一種工具，就變成一個要被戰勝的障礙物，而置身在世上，捨棄幻覺。
In the ancient Chinese culture the body and soul were indivisible and considered as one. In the West the body has split from the soul and become a tool; politically-exclusively as work power, in terms of lust as a source of pleasure, medically as an organism to cure, religiously as flesh to redeem and regarding signs as a support of meaning. I am the result of such a scission and I experiment with the two extremes. Every act of mine reveals the fact that my presence is bodily. The body unfolds the space and unfolds itself within a space which is not geometric nor is its time chronological. It moves through distances that that are proportionate to its gestures accompanied by those words that arrive only where the sound of its voice can reach. It plays with modesty, flesh and clothing until it reaches that situation - limit where the body returns to its silence-death. The body lives comfortably when it inhabits a space in a natural way. But when it becomes a mere instrument, divided from the soul and alienated, it becomes an obstacle to overcome in order to be a part of the world, leaving only hallucinative traces.

Giacomo Calabrese (意大利/ Italy)
從事錄像、數位編輯。在歐洲、美國(José Limòn Dance Company)、Adriana Borriello (Rosas) 和Julyen Hamilton學習舞蹈；亦有學習哈塔瑜伽和太極拳奇功，去深入探索身體的可能性和根據骨療法的概念研究身體動作。亦與Sylvano Bussotti, Sandra Fuciarelli, Adriana Borriello, Jean-Marc Boitiere, Virginie Girerd, Bill T. Jones, Anouska Brodacz, Ornella D’Agostino 和Versiliadanza(公司)合作。近年的創作專注於常規和非常規的層面上，在其個人、或與其他舞者和音樂家作即興的演出。亦從事現代舞蹈、即興發揮、太極拳奇功的舞蹈技術教導工作。
studied dance in Europe and in the USA on scholarship with the José Limòn Dance Company. He continued training with Adriana Borriello (Rosas) and Julyen Hamilton and practices Hatha Yoga and Tai Ji Quan-Qi Gong in order to have a greater understanding of the body and to develop his own method of analyzing and researching movement based on osteopathic concepts. He has worked with Sylvano Bussotti, Sandra Fuciarelli, Adriana Borriello, Jean-Marc Boitiere, Virginie Girerd, Bill T. Jones, Anouska Brodacz, Ornella D’Agostino and throughout the world with the company Versiliadanza. In recent years his work has been oriented towards instant composition where he performs in both conventional and unconventional spaces, in solo works and with other dancers and musicians in improvisational works. He is a videographer and digital editor and he currently teaches contemporary dance, instant composition, Tai Ji Quan - Qi Gong and movement technique for actors.
